The Launch was telecasted live on 27th October 2020, United Nations Audio-Visual Heritage Day, will Inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Special Guests Minister of Culture Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Chairman of GMR Group Shri. G. Mallikarjun Rao, Smt. Lakshmi Puri, Former Assistant Secretary General, UN Renata & Smt. Vyjayanthimala Bali legendary Bharatnatyam dancer/ actress.
Natya Tarangini and Dr.s Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy have been organizing the Parampara Series - National Festival of Music & Dance uninterrupted for the past 23 years.
Our endeavour this year, supported by the United Nations, is to telecast a 4 (four) weekend series starting on 30th October to 22nd November, 2020, rare and legendary performances from the past editions of "Parampara Series". This initiative is to bring legendary artists together to share with the future generations and to spread a message of hope, harmony and solidarity through Indian classical music and dance.

Started in 1998, ‘Parampara Series’ was the first of its kind Festival of Dance & Music in Delhi, bringing in together various classical dance forms, vocal & instrumental music, by stalwarts and stars of classical and contemporary dance and music dance both on a National and International scale and repute. Here, thousands of people have witnessed the magnificent art of nearly a hundred artists making the festival and its organizers one of the key cultural players in New Delhi.
Parampara Series has presented India`s greatest stalwarts such as Pt. Birju Maharaj, Kelucharan Mahopatra, Pt. Hari Prasad Chauasia, Kishori Amonkar, Bala Murali Krishna, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma, Parveen Sultana, Vyjayanthimala Bali, Shubha Mudgal, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from Pakistan, Hariharan, Alarmel Valli, Mrinalini & Mallika Sarabhai, Astad Deboo etc., and current stars such as, Rashid Khan, Sanjay Subramanium, Priyadarshini Govind, Aditi Mangaldas, T M Krishna and rising stars such as Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, Deepak Maharaj, Rahul Sharma, Rahul Acharya, Advaita, Mrigya and so on making it one of the capitals most in demand festivals.
In 2011, under this banner Raja Radha Reddy`s long standing name brought together international stalwarts in Delhi`s capital such as USA`s prime dance company Paul Taylor Dance company, Legendary Jose Porcel of Spain, Whirling Dervishes of Turkey and Moscow Classical Ballet, Russia. Till date classical artists of this caliber have not been presented by any organization in India.
In the past, the festival has been inaugurated by high dignitaries, Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam former President of India and Shri L.K Advani, former Deputy P.M of India.
The Parampara Series continues today as a movement to preserve and enrich the cultural mosaic of our everyday life, and today we take pride in the fact that we have successfully created a single platform for connecting people, bringing all artists and art lovers together in the capital of India.
